THE PURPOSE OF ISP

ISP is a non-profit association with scientific, cultural and welfare approach.

The main purpose of ISP is to promote national and international diffusion of psychological and neuroscientific culture in order to pursue the following objectives:

• To facilitate understanding of the real potential of Psychology as a means of knowledge and intervention within everybody's reach and for the benefit of all, both those who have a psychopathological condition and those who want to improve various aspects of their existential condition (psychological, relational, emotional, occupational... aspects).

• To spread a conception of Psychology as a tool for the prevention of pathological conditions in the social-relational, emotional and employment aspects, and for promotion of psychological well-being of the individual and the community.

• To spread a conception of Psychology as a cultural tool for everyone to facilitate a greater awareness and understanding of themselves, others and interpersonal relationships, through appropriate means of intervention.

• To facilitate access to Psychology and Assistance services, supporting and promoting all the initiatives and organizations (associations, companies, etc..) that work for the reduction or elimination of various barriers, such as economic factors, physical factors (difficulty or inability to reach the places where Psychology and Assistance services are provided), socio-cultural and other factors.

• To facilitate access to Psychology services and assistance services including of linguistic minorities in the countries around the world.

ISP ACTIVIVITIES

The statutory objectives are pursued by the ISP through the following activities:

A - Services across the national and international territory for mental health and psychological well-being, especially psychological counseling, psychological support, psychotherapy, care and support to elderly, disabled individuals, children and to all people who want to use the services provided by the association and / or its partners, with affordable rates established by ISP independently or in agreement with their prospective partners.

B - Psychological Counsultancy Services 24 / 7 (24h, 7 days a week 7, where possible) at low cost and maintaining the highest standards of quality through a control system specially developed by ISP Psychologists or its partners.

C - Services referred to in point A through a network of professionals and health workers selected by ISP or its partners and distributed widely throughout the country and internationally (on a provincial basis).

D - Services of point A through all systems of communication (first among all Internet and telephone)  currently available and in the future. In particular ISP will carry out consultations on-line via the Internet (Audio-Video, Audio, Chat and E-Consulting-mail ) or through other communication systems, using one or more web sites (or other communication systems) specially developed by the association or its partners.

E - Health and social care services.

F - Psychology Services for Companies and other private and public corporations.

G - Services in support of activities conducted by professionals in the mental health and well being.

H - Psichepedia Network Project. Psichepedia Network is the Science Online Encyclopedia of Psychology and Neuroscience. It consists of a network of thematic websites that are specialized on topics such as anxiety, sleep, depression, etc. and connected to a portal called "Psichepedia.it": the latter, as a "portal", serves as a "gateway 's input "on all sites of Psichepedia thematic network (which are interlinked with each other) and it contains in itself a great number of articles on a wide variety to topics within psychology and neuroscience.

Psichepedia Network is a "professional open-project" and an encyclopedia that is freely available and free from all, but whose content can only be written by professionals or experts in the field of mental health and neuroscience, in particular psychologists, neuropsychologists, psychiatrists , etc.. The project is multilingual.
